Marakesh

Tonight Anna and I went out to dinner with friends for Dan G’s birthday. It was a surprise. It was nice to see Max and Xstina and Ed and Justine and Chris. We haven’t seen them in so long, and there were many laughs to be had. The restaurant was Morrocon, very very good. Most of us ordered the Sultan, which is an eight course meal. We enjoyed two bellydance performances, and they had a Morrocon version of the guy who sings songs and plays a keyboard in an Italian restaurant. He was really good, although the music got way too loud at times. We got there at 7:15, and Dan G didn’t arrive until 8:40. It’s all good, but we didn’t leave until 12:45. 4 1/2 hours for dinner! It was a long day, so as soon as we paid our portion we split without really saying goodbye to anyone. I don’t think anyone was sober enough to notice or care. It was a good time, and if you ever have the opportunity to dine at a Morrocon restaurant I highly suggest you do it. And get the Bastilla. Delicious.
